Compensation: $18.28 per hour/$38,022 annually or higher DOQ w/Benefits (Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, New Benefits, & Employee Assistance Program, TMRS participation of 7% with a 2/1 match; paid vacation & sick days; 11 paid holidays. In addition, the department offers incentive pay for specific certifications, education, and longevity.)
Description: Performs all work related to all communications activities of the Police Department. Receives and dispatches all requests for police, fire and other emergency service, assistance and information. Works closely by telephone, radio, teletype, and computer or in person with other employees of the department, other departments and agencies as well as the general public.
Education: High School diploma or GED. Practical experience in Law Enforcement or Tele-Communications is preferred.
Additional Requirements: Valid Class C Texas driver license; must be able to complete training and pass tests for TCIC/NCIC and Basic Telecommunications Certifications within six months of employment; pass drug screen as required by the City of Lake Worth and/or the State of Texas.
