Westover Hills Police Department is located in Tarrant County in Fort Worth, TX, and is a quaint 0.7-square-mile town with under 300 residences and a population of under 700 residents. We are a service-oriented community policing department with a low crime rate and emergency call volume.

We are a Best Practice Agency that adheres to vetted policies that the Texas Police Chiefs Association accreditation program deems important to the safety of our Officers and the community. 

We embrace training and provide our team with opportunities to further their careers and better serve the citizens. Our team consists of six Officers, four Sergeants, four Dispatchers, a Lieutenant, and the Chief of Police. 


  • Receives emergency and non-emergency calls for service by phone and in person.
  • Process and evaluate information received and dispatch law enforcement and/or Fire/EMS, prioritizing all calls and the availability (number and types of personnel needed) to respond. 
  • Tracks location and availability of police units; dispatches police units and/or forwards calls to the appropriate agency for response
  • Prepares, processes, and maintains accurate records and logs of all radio transmissions
  • Monitor and control the movement of field units and provide appropriate and effective coverage in response to public safety emergencies.
  • Maintain and validate data in local, state, and national computerized databases, including the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and the Texas Crime Information Center (TCIC)
  • Correspond or communicate with other Cities, agencies, etc., to confirm or request information on a valid offense report or other law enforcement matters.
  • Act as a liaison between the Westover Hills Police, Fort Worth Fire Departments, MedStar, and other City departments and/or City or Government agencies as needed in response to a call for service
  • Provide a shift account to the oncoming dispatcher & shift supervisors at shift change.
  • Other duties as assigned
