The Tarrant County 9-1-1 Executive Director Team has an opening for an Executive Assistant position.
The selected candidate will report to the Executive Director of Tarrant County 9-1-1 District, Sherry Decker. The Executive Assistant performs advanced (senior level) professional assistance work for an executive or multiple executives. This position will provide the Executive Director with advanced planning, technical, and administrative assistance, accomplished by serving as a liaison between the Executive Director and District membership, external organizations, the public, and staff; processing information; maintaining the director’s calendar; supporting meetings/committee activities; coordinating travel arrangements; coordinating special events; providing planning and technical support; organizing mail; and serving as a departmental representative. Work involves oversight of a wide variety of high-level administrative support, including managing office workloads and the day-to-day activities of an executive. May supervise the work of others and works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment and the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience: have a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a closely related field and/or at least one year of experience in administration management. Additional years of education may substitute for a portion of the required expertise or other closely related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
This position is in Fort Worth, Texas, and offers full benefits and a base salary ranging from $60,000 to $74,000 annually, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
