Knowing the ins and outs of 9-1-1 is important for both kids and adults. Tarrant County 9-1-1 District offers free 9-1-1 public education services to the community. It’s essential for us to keep Tarrant County informed of new 9-1-1 technology and educate about 9-1-1.
Some key points to remember when calling 9-1-1
• Know your address or location of where the emergency is occurring
• Stay Calm
• Don’t hang up until told to do so by the 9-1-1 operator
• Listen to all the instructions given to you by the 9-1-1 operator
• Never put yourself or others in danger when calling in an emergency
